1910 Melbourne Cup set for display in new racing gallery

English silversmiths crafted this magnificent, 8.5kg piece for the 50th Melbourne Cup, held aloft (just) by MCG guide Robert Green, grandson of Sol Green who raced the 1910 winner, Comedy King. It will be prominently displayed in the new thoroughbred racing gallery, which opens in October.
