SOCIAL media and tennis players and fans everywhere were enraptured by the all-Aussie US Open match that saw Bernard Tomic conquer his hero Lleyton Hewitt.

IT looked set to be another night of humiliation and ridicule for Shane Watson until the much-maligned cricketer showcased his ongoing value to Australia.

THE wife of an NFL team’s boss made a graphic claim about a female sports reporter. Then it backfired spectacularly.
