Celebrate all things footy these school holidays!
June 28–July 13, 2014
With the FIFA World Cup in full swing and the AFL/NRL seasons entering their most exciting phase, the National Sports Museum is inviting kids to celebrate football these winter school holidays.
There will also be an opportunity to check out our latest exhibition, Gold for Australia! Stories of our sporting medals, and participate in a range of interactive activities.
Representatives from a number of sports will visit the NSM to share their sporting tips, including AFL Victoria who is on board to help kids to fast track their footy development with a special clinic!
Times: 11am to 3pm (July 10 and 11).
Challenge a Champ in Game On!
Kids can test their goal-kicking skills against AFL players, run out the batsman on a virtual cricket pitch, put their hand-eye coordination to the test and kick, throw, shoot, ride, race and run to their heart's content in Game On!
July 8 (2pm-4pm) - Melbourne FC players Jayden Hunt and James Harmes
July 9 (12pm-2pm) - Melbourne United basketball player Owen Odigie
