National Sports Museum Audio Tour

The National Sports Museum audio tour is self-guided. Please feel free to make your way through each gallery at your own leisure.

If you find yourself restricted for time, we have highlighted in bold key stop points within each gallery that should not be missed.

Throughout the museum you will see a headset symbol with a number. Please enter the number on the keypad of your player to hear the corresponding description.

Smart Auslan

There are hundreds of museums across Australia offering audio tours but now there is a way for Deaf and hearing-impaired Australians to gain access to this information through a smart phone! The National Sports Museum is the first Australian museum to offer this service.

Find out more about the Smart Auslan tour

The audio and Smart Auslan tours can be collected from the cloak room, located on the right hand side of the entrance to the National Sports Museum, upon arrival.

Whilst visiting the museum, please also consider the following options:

  • An MCG Tour allows you to relive more than 150 years of sporting excellence.
  • The MCG Superstore includes a range of National Sports Museum merchandise together with a comprehensive selection of sporting merchandise.
  • The Museum Cafe is open for coffee and lunch.
  • You may re-enter the National Sports Museum upon presentation of your current entry ticket.
