MOST classic grand slam finals are characterised by two players threatening to outdo each other with winners until one prevails. This was not that classic.

MITCHELL Johnson sparked a complete clean-out of England cricket last summer and he worked on instigating another crisis with an awe-inspiring return at the WACA.

NOVAK Djokovic has overcome mystery illness, a court invasion and Andy Murray’s stubbornness to seal Australian Open history after a bizarre final.

JUST eight months ago he was a surprise inclusion in Australia’s World Cup squad. Now Massimo Luongo has been named the Asian Cup’s Most Valuable Player.

FORMER Wanderer Aaron Mooy scored a cracker as Melbourne City claimed a 2-1 victory at AAMI Park and leave Western Sydney facing some big questions.

Seniors Groups – Seniors Social Club Experience

Planning your club's next outing? Consider the MCG and NSM great value meal package offerings...

An MCG Tour in actionVisiting the MCG, including an MCG Tour and/or a visit to the National Sports Museum, is extremely popular with many Seniors (55+) social clubs such as Probus clubs, U3A groups, retirements clubs and senior citizens organisations.

Take advantage of the great value special all-inclusive package offers to have lunch in the exclusive Members Reserve, visit the National Sports Museum and take a tour of the MCG, starting from only $36.50 per person.

For seniors groups, your visit to the National Sports Museum can be self-guided or guided, allowing you to enjoy the rich and historic displays at your leisure.

There are numerous exhibition spaces covering a complete history of Australian sport.  The museum caters for all mobility requirements and includes ramps and escalator access. It is recommended to allow a minimum of 90 minutes to fully experience the museum.

Combine a visit to the new museum with an MCG Tour . The guided tour, which takes approximately 60 minutes, covers reasonable distances on foot (includes the use of steps, escalators and elevators).

Your visit can also include a great value for money lunch, with the choice of either a buffet-style sandwich lunch or enjoy a hot one-course meal. Your group's meal will be served at an exclusively set table arrangement in the Hugh Trumble Café.

Bookings are essential, preferably three weeks in advance.

Please call (03) 9657 8879 between 8.30am–5.00pm or via email.
