A new temporary display case within Champions - Thoroughbred Racing Gallery focuses on champion middle-distance horse and stayer, So You Think.
In just two seasons, So You Think proved himself to be one of the finest horses of his generation.
He came to national prominence in 2009 after winning the Cox Plate by three lengths in the second-fastest time ever recorded.
In 2010 he confirmed his quality by successively winning the Group 1 Underwood Stakes, the Yalumba Stakes, his second Cox Plate and the Mackinnon Stakes. Starting as a hot favourite in the Melbourne Cup, he ran a gallant third.
He was rated as the best stayer in the 2010 World Thoroughbred Rankings. Trained by Australian Racing Hall of Fame Legend Bart Cummings, So You Think carried the famous check and yellow colours of Dato Tan Chin Nam. Sold to Coolmore Stud, So You Think now races in Europe.
The display case, which includes So You Think's racing colours, bridle and crossover among other items, will be a feature in the National Sports Museum until mid-October, 2011.
