Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a sports star? Experience the thrill of being your sporting hero for a day at the National Sports Museum.

There’s a heap of activities for kids of all ages (and parents too!), whether you’re into Australian football, cricket, soccer, netball, athletics…and much, much more.

If you blink, it will zoom past and you’ll miss it!

Race to the National Sports Museum and be a part of the speedy sports program. Aussie Rules and Rugby League kick off, the surf is up at Bells Beach, there’s fast cars in town and it’s Formula Fun for all the family.

In celebration of all of these swift sports, join in The Fast Lane at the National Sports Museum.

The Fast Lane will provide heaps of entertainment for all ages, including the car driver reaction timer, a museum trail with pit stops and secret clues, making your own number plate, make and wear a BT19 car badge, and a NEW show in the NSM, called “Motor Racing - It’s the pits” starring the legendary toy car racing driver – Jack Dan.

The exhibition gallery will also be displaying a brand new exhibition that celebrates the 75th Australian Grand Prix.

PROGRAM ACTIVITIES

PERFORMANCES
Toy car racing legend Jack Dan returns to the track to show us what it takes to win. “It’s all in the pit stop…you need a good cup of coffee and someone else to do the work, but it’s exhilarating.”

Meet Jack and laugh your way to the finish line as Jack makes a well deserved comeback appearance in the National Sports Museum in his show: Motor Racing –It’s the pits!

When: 20 minute show at 1.30pm daily
Where: Multi-sport area in the National Sports Museum

TRAILS AROUND THE NSM
Join in the museum car racing circuit! Stop at the pit stops around the NSM and collect clues to make you an accredited NSM driver.

When:  Between 12noon – 3pm
Where: Collect your accreditation card once inside the NSM

Reaction Timer
See what kind of driver you will be! Are you an F1 driver, a street driver or a snail? Test your skills with our reaction timer in the NSM, then take it home and test your friends
